This course is for any employee of organisations involved in any stage of the freight supply chain in NSW.

  • How long does the course take?

    The course takes 30 minutes to complete and is available on mobile phone, tablet, laptop or desktop computer.

  • What do participants receive upon course completion?

    Participants will be issued with a Certificate of Completion that can be downloaded from their course dashboard. Compliance is the responsibility of the operator and the NSW Government does not monitor compliance.

  • Is there an exam…what do you need to do to attain a certificate?

    There are three short multiple choices quizzes throughout the course. To attain a certificate, you have to achieve a 100% score. However, participants can take the quiz as many times as needed and can click back onto prior information pages to revisit key points.

  • Is the course compulsory?

    The course is not mandatory, but it is highly recommended as a good reminder of positive hygiene practices to help combat the spread of COVID-19. The course is a tool Transport for NSW has developed to support the freight industry keep its workers safe.

  • Is the freight industry inherently unhygienic or at risk?

    No. But the nature of the industry means freight workers travel greater distances and see more of Australia. The course is intended to support freight workers to continue and improve on COVID-19 safe practices and reduce the potential for exposure and transfer of disease.

  • Will the course be adapted as regulations change and new strains of the virus like Mu emerge in Australia?

    As new information emerges, updates will be made to the content of the course. However, the information in the course is a guide and does not substitute for medical advice or checking with guidelines of your local health authority.

  • Is completing the course required for obtaining a permit? Is it a permit?

    No. The course is not required for obtaining a permit, nor does it replace the need for a permit.

  • Will an inventory of successful course completers be maintained?

    No. Please note, compliance is the responsibility of the operator and the NSW Government does not monitor compliance.

  • Will course participants need to take part in refreshers and how often?

    No. However, students will have access to review the course as it is updated through their student dashboard.
